Infertility
Failure to conceive can be related to factors in both the woman and the man. In some cases it is not possible to find the exact cause, but a thorough examination is important to find the most successful treatment.
Initial screening programme for the woman
1. Cervical swab for chlamydia
2. Cervical smear
3. Physical examination and ultrasound scan using dye (HyCoSy test) of the uterus and fallopian tubes
4. Blood sample for hormonal analysis
5. Blood test for infections
